Pool cover debris

I have a lot of dead leaves on my pool cover this year. Can I fill my pool up to my skimmer to make the debris easier to clean off. Before I take cover off. Above ground pool.

If you think it will help - sure. You're going to need to increase the water level anyways to get the pump going. I suppose a soft rake or wide-broom brush may help. If your cover is sagging due to water, you might need to us e a small utility pump to remove excess water as well. If you're actually opening today, anything that falls in by accident I expect you'll grab right away anyways.

Yes I have pumped most of the water off. My water level is about 8” below skimmer just wanted to make sure it’s ok to bring my water level up with the cover on. Will definitely make it easier to reach the debris.
