I followed the TFP process for prepping pool for closing. Ran FC to about 12 and let it fall to 7. Then added Poly-60 yesterday (compensated with the 3.5 FC as per usage article) and ran pump for 24 hours. I plan to check monthly during winter and add chlorine accordingly if we have warm weather and pool temp happens to increase above 60.
They are in process of draining pool and purging lines. Closer wants to add bag of 'shock' and says it's important to prevent algae in spring when they return to open pool.
