Hi guys,

We're planning our pool build. We need a lot of ideas.
1. Bathroom is requirement
2. Safety
3. pool house

The house has a slab and behind the deck is a crawlspace that has access to all the plumbing.
As you can see from the image, neighbor yard water drains into our yard due to higher elevation.
The whole backyard will be regrade properly along with swale to carry the water to the drainage easement in the back.
Our backyard consist of a deck (14x28) and concrete patio (11x28). These are already constructed in and in place. These are brand new so we would like to keep it.
I need help incorporating a pool that will utilize these two space along with a pool house with bathroom. I am opening to incorporating pool house attached to house, but I can't see any good ideas and will be an eyesore.
As you can see from the red arrows, we are against gravity. So going against gravity will be more costly depending on how deep the drain to sewer line is bury. Another option is a small septic system for pool house.
Please excuse the mess in the photos. We're fixing the rails.

Welcome to TFP!

I’d do a pool house (with bathroom, equipment on back or side, a family type room with sliders (or one that collapses into wall) and storage room, outdoor kitchen and fireplace) out off the right corner of the deck, sitting perpendicular to the house. So when your guests walk around the house from parking, they will have a beautiful view of the pool house to the right, and still retain the green view straight ahead. It will also block and vision from your upper neighbor, as well as direct sound away from them. If they were to put a pool in some day, it would be back there and closer to yours. So that separation would be nice. Not sure how close your other neighbor is. Then there would be decking continuing from your current slab, around the deck (next to the pool) and over to the pool house. Then decking around the backside of the pool and back towards the driveway. The shallow end would go on the pool house side. You could go with a vinyl L-shaped pool with the main portion parallel to the house with the leg coming back towards the garage area. That’s my initial vision.

Thanks for commenting!
That neighbor hill is steep, I don't think they will put a pool. We were thinking of a rectangular shape pool since its easier to do the automatic pool cover that's for safety.
The other neighbor on the other side is closer and we were thinking the pool house there would be better to block their view.
I noticed you have an auto cover, how did you like it and budget ? What about maintenance for the cover?

Autocover is expensive ($15k) and great to have. And costly when repairs are needed but that isn’t too often so far.

I'm playing with some designs. I like this view, but wife do not like deck view cause rail is blocking view. Thoughts?
The rock part will be a grotto with slide and flat rock up top for jumping. Thoughts on this with autocover? i see they make different type of track mount options.

You can remove most of the railings if you do long sets of steps from the deck to the ground on those two sides. And maybe railing sections in the corners for pedestrian assistance.
