Hi all,
We live in Florida and just went through hurricane Milton. We did not flood or lose power thankfully, but we did have some high winds with heavy rains.
The day before the storm my husband drained a couple inches out of the pool to account for the rain coming. He then left the hose hooked up when we ran to the store. When we came back, the pump had started at its auto time and was used the skimmer level and pulling air. Ever since then, the pool pump is not getting power at all.
We just had someone from pinch a Penny come out and take a look and he stated he doesn't think our issue is caused from the air in the system. He thinks it has something to do with the intermatic control, which they do not service. The second you reset the breakers by the pool, it trips.
Things I've tried:
Resetting the main breaker, priming the pump manually through the basket in the pump and the skimmer, and checked both for debris.
Any ideas we can try before someone opens on Monday?
Thank you

The pump CB is probably tripping from a GFCI fault and not an overcurrent fault. GFCI faults are usually caused by moisture getting in the pump motor or electrical wires.

It looks like you have both the pump and SWG powered from that CB.

I would disconnect the wires connect to the pump and safe them off with wire nuts. Then try and reset the CB. If the CB resets then it indicates the problem is with the pump.

How much water did you get around your pool equipment during the storms?

We didn't get much standing water at all. If anything, it could be the wind blowing rain in that direction which could've gotten it wet. What does CB stand for?

So we are P.O. neighbors, and surviving Milton's wraith i thought I would reach out. If you haven't found someone to help you figure out what's going on with your pool yet, I could take a quick look at it with you, I'm a DIY'er, have worked around mechanical and electrical wiring in my past work history's.
So I could offer another pair of eyes if you'd like.
I'm still in clean up storm mode here, but message me or post here and Ill check back here every couple of hours for a response.
