Hi folks,

new to all the pool business. My parents had a pool built, but that was a long time ago and I wasn’t involved. We have gotten a lot of bids, but I think we have chosen our builder. I would like to attach the bid and see what you all think. If you have any recommendations, comments or suggestions. We are very grateful for any help! Also, pool builders here won’t really use salt water. Ours said he would, but after all the pools builders talked to us about saltwater and damage my husband will not go with salt water. my son has eczema, so we have to do something that is why Uv/ozone. Here is the proposal.

Hi and welcome! Thanks for letting us help spend your money LOL!

So here is one place I all ready see the need for more details-the automation. Need to know model number for this one.

The UV/ozone system-here is some reading about it: UV Systems - Further Reading & Ozone Systems - Further Reading

An outdoor pool gets plenty of UV from the sun so that is extra money that does not need to be spent. The other just does not do enough to be worth while to bother with.

We have several members who say their skin issues have IMPROVED due to having a pool!!! A well balanced pool is the best thing for skin issues for many!

Ditto on the UV/Ozone system.

I would also push for a robot cleaner and we recommend a salt system instead of the automatic chlorinator.

The one thing I see on there that I'm not familiar with is the "Waterco Cycle Pre-filter". Interesting concept. I'm curious is anyone has any thoughts on those.
