Pool Age?

We bought a 1964 trilevel home with an inground roundish (maybe teardrop?) shaped pool.

Is there any way to guess at the age of the pool?

Previous owners bought the house in 1998 and the pool was already installed then.

This picture is from the realtor listing 2 years ago. The pool is up & running now. I thought this photo gives a better angle than any of my more recent photos do.

Also, if I’ve posted in the wrong section, just redirect me. I wasn’t sure which thread would be most appropriate.

Maybe contact the pool builders in your area and ask them. They may give you an idea who was around building pools pre-1998, and so you may be able to track down whoever built it.

If building permits are required in your area the town may have records.

Ask old folks who have lived in the area for a long time.

I was able to do some asking around and it was built in 1978 or 79.
