I went to a pool store to buy DE to put in my sand filter to help with cloudiness but they only have 25lb bags of it. They suggested using Caribbean Blue Sand Assist if I wanted a smaller bag of something. However I haven't seen anything on this forum about people using it. I am guessing it's a no go but I thought I'd ask to save some money and not have to have a giant bag of DE laying around my garage haha

I would not use it. Stick with DE if you need it. From Amazon:

The ingredients in Sand Assist create a sticky polymer on the top of the filter sand that helps trap the tiniest specks of dirt going into your sand pool filter creating less muss and fuss for you.

Not to sound like a nagging parent, but please ensure that it is pool grade DE and not food grade DE. I always worry when people purchase DE online or not from a pool store because it's super easy for the seller to screw up ("it says DE right there on the package ... Isn't all DE the same??") and for the purchaser not to check. Food grade DE will wreck your pool for weeks on end with cloudiness.

Thanks for the warning - I made sure I bought pool grade! HTH D.E. Filter Aid - it worked like a charm too.
