Polaris hose in-line quick disconnect? (not at wall, in hose)

Just moved to a new house with a beautiful large pool and spa. Strangely, though, the Polaris wall connection was placed about 3 ft below the surface, where the spa wall protrudes in the pool. My arms are about 8" too short to reach the connection, without dunking my chest into the pool.

I'd like to be able to quickly remove the Polaris when we have kids in the pool, etc. Any ideas on an "in line" quick disconnect I could put in the Polaris hose, 2 feet or so from the wall?

(I did bring my Warrior SE to the new house, but the new pool has a very high leaf and acorn exposure, so I'd like to keep the Polaris for daily cleaning of the tree waste.)

Possibly you can find a quick connector similar to that used on a garden hose. The issue will be finding the right size to fit the Polaris hose. I did a search but couldn’t find anything. it may be worth a trip to HD, Lowe’s or Ace to look at there hose section or in the hydraulic hose connectors. You would want to keep it plastic and avoid any metal connections as they would be heavy.
