This is the revenue model they all seem to be drifting towards - no more DIY garage fixes, either go to a shop or buy a new one. And the shops really don’t want to be bothered with fixing stuff because you gotta pay a guy to sit there all day twiddling his screwdriver until work shows up. So it’s basically - “buy it new, run it for a few years until it breaks, then buy another new one …”.
It’s basically the Apple iPhone revenue model …
