Polaris 9650iq

So my Polaris 9650iq motor went after 7.5 years.
Never had to go for service. Only replaced the basket once.
I think I just over used it at opening with a bad algae bloom.
Running it more than once a day.
Leslies told me $700 to replace the motor.
Doesn't seem to be a popular choice on TFP but I was looking at all the new robotic cleaners and just seems like there's too many bells and whistles with the new ones.
So I just purchased another one.

My 9650iQ also went out at the beginning of this season (8th season). It would not move forward anymore. I also bought the exact same one. I set the old one aside I was going to take it apart (eventually) and see if it is fixable.

There are used motors on ebay. They are easy to swap out.

For an extra $300 i got a 3 year warranty and didn't have to spend the time tinkering. Just saying that I was surprised on the reliability. Saw a bunch of the new ones getting fixed at my local pool store.

Mine came with a 5 year warranty. It broke after it was over.
