Polaris 380 Tangling up

I replaced both our Polaris 380 and pump with new ones after 18 years. I trimmed the hose as per the instructions and made adjustments that appear to have it cleaning properly. The only issue is that is gets itself tangled up at the connection in the pool wall. I had never had this issue with the old one. I am about to test again after leaving the hose laid out in the sun for a few days to soften it and remove the coiled nature from being package. Is there anything else I need to check/adjust to stop it from tangling itself up?

Not much more you can do then what you are trying.

I can almost use my 380 hose as a thermometer - below a certain temperature, it tangles up, while above that temperature it doesn't. Check the rear jet position (11 0'clock doesn't always work) and make sure the swivels aren't sticking.
