My equipment is also about 80-90 feet away from spa. I want to put way more jets in there. like maybe two seats of three jets on the back and a calf and maybe feet. Then the rest of the spa can also have single jets so when we have lots of people it can run on single jets manually close up the extra seat jets.
Spa will be 6x14 but three steps coming in on each side.
I spoke with a pool builder I met asking about the Riverflow system. I am going to put a fastlane pro on the wall between the pool and spa. I was thinking of doing that wall at 18".
The pool builder I met with one afternoon said he can make a good spa with strong jets and he does it by doing the main loop on the bottom of spa instead of the middle and brings up the pipe to the height you want so it does not loose pressure I think it was.
He said you can put more jets than most pool build say on one of those high hp as long as you have the larger pipes. I was going to do 3" and 4" return and suction lines to the spa min because of how far it is and because I once read somewhere on this site that the reason the jets do not have pressure is because they need to get lots of water at the spa. It appears that it will all depend on the calculations how big a pipe I should do for more jets. Not sure if it is cheaper to run bigger pipes or run two lines with two pipes to the spa. Or both those things need to be done. LOL
Inside the spa should I also run bigger diameter plumbing... he did mention it depends on the size of the return.
I will probably put 16-24 jets... basically as many as my pump will allow me.
He also mentioned I could put a jet on a return line at the bottom of the spa instead of adding a new line for the foot massage.
He also said he controls the spa jets individually with a knob on the top ledge of the wall. He turns it one way or the other to control how strong the water is per jet... Maybe he called it an air dial?
Do you have any experience with making a therapy in ground spa. Or know a site or person that is skilled with making sure the spa runs great with many jets? I feel that many pool builders are not expert at that. They just say 5-6 jets some say can't be more than 8 and they have to be the same height on a loop and the loop is in the middle.
