Hi.
I have my waterfall and spa jets running from a second pump, independent of the filtration equipment. There is no other filtration on the water feature plumbing other than the pump strainer basket.
The thing is, I recently found some gravel blocking two of the spa jets, so I purchased and installed a Waterco 14560 inline filter after the pump last week, but the filter leaks due to the lack of a proper seal on the exit side (design flaw I would say) and given there are no specifications available I am now concerned it is not suitable for pressure side plumbing.
What kind of filter should I use to catch any rubbish that gets past the pump? I have found a small cartridge filter for above ground pools, specifically Hayward micro star clear 225. It uses 40mm fittings but I would prefer something with 50mm fittings to suit my plumbing. Does this seem more appropriate or do you have a better suggestion?
