Plumbing advice

I'm in a very flood prone area and need to elevate my pump, heater & filter about 32" above current position. I'm new to pools and seek your advice. The attached photo shows where I need to cut the inlet/outlet pipes to add extensions for the new higher pad I will build. The current pad is about 3 ft BELOW the pool water level..... The INLET shouldn't be a problem as the cut is after the valve, however I'm concerned the cut below the OUTLET valve MAY create a massive backflow of water from the pool ??

Use the valve on the inlet and the outlet to your advantage. Close the valves. Cut where you indicate on the in side.

On the out side, put the valve arm facing UP. Cut between the elbow and the valve, don't cut into the valve. Then use a PVC pipe reamer to remove the PVC from inside the top of the valve and rebuild from there.

For the outlet side, grab some rubber winterizing plugs and plug your returns poolside before surgery. The outlet side will be sealed and you’ll just need to let the water drain from the plumbing once you cut before glue up.
