How does everybody feel about a corded pool light for an above ground pool? I bought one that fits on the return port and have it plugged in to a gfi receptical, but don't really like the idea of anything electrical going into the water. This is the one I bought LED Multi-Color Pool return light

You are only sending 12V to the light just like every other pool light out there... Completely safe and you have it plugged into a GFCI plug...
