Please verify Pool/Spa plumbing with 2 pumps

Please look over my plumbing schematic and give me some feedback. Both pumps are Tristars VS for automation and we do want the VS pump for the spa, because I don't like the hard jets, but my wife does. We will be using Jandy Never-lube valves or Hayward Automated valves. The automation is Hayward pl-plus-16v with T-15 cell

You should not need the check valve before the filter pump ... the 3-way valve should prevent the spa from draining.
Without solar heating, there is no need for a check valve after the filter either.
I would ditch the booster pump and pressure cleaner and just get a robot ... much more efficient to run and will clean better.

Beyond that, layout looks fine to me.

EDIT: You might want to reconsider the SWG placement. Where it is, you could end up raising the FC quite high in the spa when running in spa mode to heat the water.
Consider putting it on the pool side after the pool/spa return valve. The spa will still get FC from the spill over while in pool mode.

Thank you Jason for your feedback. I took out the check valves that are not needed. I'm hoping in the cooler months to use the Spa heavily during family and friends gatherings and will need to chlorinate the spa for an extended period. The automation does reduce the cell % (adjustable) when in spa mode and I hope that works.

On another note, I see that it is recommended to have a vacuum to waste after the pool pump. Should I tee off and use a 2 way valve or just put in a three way valve?

Ah, I think you are right that the automation will run a lower SWG output in spa mode, that should work.

Certainly adding a waste option between the pump and filter is a good idea. You can plumb it either way ... 3-way valve or a tee with a shut-off.

Jason, thank you again. The top schematic in my post above is my final if you can somehow delete the other two that will be great. I’m keeping the pressure side cleaner as part of my system, because when I’m out of town I can leave the cleaner in the pool and have it automated to come on daily to do its thing.

You can do that with a robot (they have timers) ... or a suction cleaner ... or a non-boosted pressure cleaner ...

A boosted pressure cleaner is the least efficient way to clean your pool as you have to run 2 pumps.

My PB is going to let me know the price difference with a Dolphin robot. I looked and really didn’t see a recommended model for vinyl pools. Is their a chosen model? I don’t want the robot to get hung up and mar the liner
