Attached is a photo of return jet that I need to find fitting for 2 returns. Appreciate if anyone else is familiar with these for old in-ground pool.

Yea, that is going ot take a brass cover of some sort.
I'm sure the three red circles are threaded for screws. You will need the measurement across the whole thing and then between the screws to find a match.

There are many posts on here with those type fitting and for the life of my I can not find one of them... Hopefully someone comes along that can remember where they are at

maybe something like this - Pool Eyeball Outlet Inground Above Ground Return Jet Inlet Jets Fitting | eBay - never seen this type before and it looks like all the ones I'm finding are four screw holes, but this one appears to be 'adaptive' to fit different situations... good luck

Sadly, with volume of parts sold comes price decreases. You are basically purchasing parts for a museum pool. But, I agree, that is a little steep.
