Hi,
Woke up to a power outage that had gone out and went back up right away, but my pool didn't run again. We then noticed ice formed on one of the skimmers weir door and caused air to go in. We broke off the ice,, water flow back into the skimmer, pump tried to run then shut of again and never able to run again. MY husband and I decided to shut off the circuit breaker, open the drain to the filter pump and release the air valve, open the filter pump drain (but some water still stuck in there), open the drain of the heater, open the chlorinator cap, put milk jug filled with some small rocks into the two skimmers (now I'm wonder if I should remove the rocks and put maybe our water softener salt in it to weigh it down instead).
water is filled up in the pool still. Please advised what we can do now? We will probably be breaking the ice on top soon.
Do we need to drain the pool down somehow to under the skimmer line?
Thank you in advance
