Please help me get my pool back!

@Zetagirl66, It's okay. Not all MPVs have that setting. While some DE owners do have a rinse setting on their MPV, and they use RINSE as a final way to purge the system of any residual product, not all filters have that capability - like yours. No a problem. After your backwash, you can just go back to filter. If there is any residual material in the system, it "might" just go back to the pool and it will get cleaned up later.

Thank you for All of your help. I ran it and rinsed my filter. Well my brother did and things are beautiful again. You guys are the GREATEST!! Thank you all for your help! I even got my salt filter working. My pool was very low on salt. I took my water up to Leslie's to get the water tested just to be sure I had done everything right. They said everything was good. I just needed 238 lbs of salt to be added. So I did that and been swimming every since. Lol They said I need to shock it once a week. So I bought a bag of shock. I was going to ask should I just continue with loading liquid chlorine for shock or use the packet Leslie's recommend?

Not all DE filters have a rinse setting. Backwash, add 80% of the recommended amount of DE specified in the manual, and filter on!

I bought a bag of shock. I was going to ask should I just continue with loading liquid chlorine for shock or use the packet Leslie's recommend?

Those store packets either contain chemicals that increase your CYA (stabilizer) or CH (calcium). If either of those is not too high, you can use it, otherwise generally it's best to stick to liquid chlorine because it has no side effects.
