Plaster Question

I got a pool pro coming soon to do an inspection but I wanted to ask the group their thoughts on the pinkish build up material over the plaster. (zoom in) When I pour water on the non pink part, it then turns green. Do I have a build up of heavy metals? Thanks in advance.

Looks like copper and maybe silver.

I have been doing an algicide with copper for the last year. I did a vitamin C stain remover and the copper levels shot up to over 1600+.

Before the stain treatment the copper levels were within range all the time.

Did you ever use silver algaecide?

I would try sulfamic acid to see that helps.

It also looks like scale.

What is you chemistry history including the CSI?
