I have a pink (bubble gum pink) bacteria growing in the nooks and crannies and sides of my pool just like algae would. I've had this before and I believe I was told it was a bacteria (animal) and not an algae (plant). How do I treat for this. Do I follow the SLAM process as I would for algae?

Yes, I have a kit and test regularly and have for a couple of years now. FC levels seem to be fine but this stuff sill grows. I stocked up on liquid chlorine so I'm ready to SLAM
