We are getting close to completion. Pool builder was going to use Jandy, but he has been talking to pentair and is open to using pentair.

Looking for recommendations. The pentair guys say the automation/control is light years ahead of Jandy. If I go pentair I can use automation for salt also.

Jandy does not have a salt cell big enough.

Specs:

45,000 gallon pool.
40 ton rock waterfall
8Foot Spa

Need:

2) 3HP variable speed pumps (looking at
1) Gas heater 400,000 BTU
1) large cartrige filter
1) Heat Pump/Chiller unit
1) Salt Cell
1) Robot (needs to be able to avoid bar stools in pool, and deal with a zero entry/sun shelf)

Im thinking:
Pentair Intellicenter controller
Pentair Intellilevel
2 Pentair VSF Pumps (I think 2 correct)
Heater: ETI 400 High Efficiency Heater
Salt: IC60 Salt Cell
Filter: Pentair Clean and Clear 520
Lights: 6 Pentair Microbrites

Can you add your location to your Settings?

The IC60 will be OK - but plan to run your pump up to 24 hours per day in the summer to adequately chlorinate your pool.

You will need to have a cover for the pool to reasonably expect to heat it in the shoulder months.

Take care.

The Circupool SWCG's create more chlorine but cannot be controlled by the ET. The other option is two SWCG's. One is a set and forget and the other is tied to the ET for variability.

Your best choice is what you are doing. Then if there are issues, you adjust, if necessary.
