I have been dealing with algea, and dead phosphates since opening my 22 ft x 52" deep round above ground pool. I have finally killed the algea , but what I do have is a pool full of phosphates. I have put the necessary chemicals in the pool and after not running the pump for a few hours , they have all collected on the bottom of the pool....and that is where they are to date. I have a robotic vacuum and a tick vacuum and of course a filter and pump. What I am not understanding is all of my vacuums "intake suction and outake which helps to move the vacuum around on the pool floor are both underwater. I can see when the vacuum starts to move all the phosphates that the intake is taking into the vacuum, blowing out the outake right back into the pool. That goes for my stick vacuum. How am I supposed to win this. My manual for my pump and sand filter states I should not run the filter until I have vacuumed the pool. I was wondering if I turned off the filter and pump again and let thing settle and I slowly lowered a submersible pump in to the pool and put it real close to the piles of phosphate and had the outake hose up and over the side of the pool to drain on the lawn would this work? P.S. my pool's intake and out take is at the top, I do not have my pump hooked into the drain of the pool. I do not have a skimmer basket.
