We have had our pool at SLAM levels for four days and it’s not clearing up. Someone said we might have phosphates in there and that could be the reason... thoughts on next steps? On phosphates?
At TFP we feel that if pools are kept with adequate chlorine levels commensurate with their stabilizer (CYA) level, no algae can exist, hance no need to worry about phosphates (algae food)
So basically if your pool FC is high enough you don't have to worry about phosphates. We don't do a thing about them.
I know y'all have had a rough time weather wise up in Ellicott City but I'd keep at the SLAM. How often are you testing your FC and re-dosing the liquid chlorine each day?? Do it even hourly if you can.
Do you have a picture you can share?

(sidenote: used to go roller skating there in Ellicott City as a boy crazy teen...wow those were the *days* LOL)
