Hi all,
What do you aim for your ph to be? I know it says 7.4-7.6 ideal, but my ph is always drifting up, last summer the same. I wonder if I should aim for 7.2 when adding MA? I usually just put 7.5 or 7.6 but it seems I have to add MA fairly frequently. Thoughts?

For now target low 7s. Each round it goes back up will lower your TA as well. Pretty soon the TA will be in range and settle in wherever it wants to be stable. Once the TA is under 100 you should notice the PH hold better. At that point go for little pushes, 8 to 7.6, not 8 to 7.2. Just like a regular swing, the harder you push, the faster it comes barreling back.

How high is your TA? A high TA will "pull up" the pH. Thankfully, every time you use Muriatic Acid it also helps lower the TA.

If you're using fountains, spa spill overs or such things they contribute to pH rise. Limit their use.
