Could my overall water quality lower my PH?

I’ve used the same chemicals with my last house (I know some here say I’m using bad stuff, but I’m using what I have and then will buy other product that is better)

It tends to drop and hold at 7.0-7.2 area, even if I add soda ash OR borax 20 to get it up to 7.6 or so.

I think my account is linked with recent test results and logs. If not I can add here.

When you chlorinate with trichlor, you will reduce the pH and the TA. You would be best off to use baking soda and keep the TA at 80-100 ppm when using trichlor.

Can you explain to me then how with my previous pool I used the same tricolor and I never had such a bad experience with PH?

I feel like this new pool that was just installed, I started off great and have not really had to treat TA but I feel like every test I do the PH drops significantly. I did not have that problem for the 7 years I had my other pool.

I honestly do not understand how it would be different now.

Fill water could be different. Lots of variables. Best to treat each body of water as its own.
Some trichlor tablets have baking soda in them.
