Re: PH options (thank you Patrick B)
OK, I said I would update. I have crossed check my digital PH meter against some knowns and against Taylor R0014.
First I dissolved Sodium BIcarbonate in RODI water. That should have resulted in water that is very close to a PH of 8.0. The meter said 8.15. The R0014 was closest to 8.2. The meter in 7.0 calibration solution said 7.0.
Next I compared my pool water to the above water with the R0014. The pool was between the 7.5 and the 7.8....again while the water from the above test was reading about 8.2. I did this is a color contrast test for myself.
Next i I put the meter in the pool. It said 8.35!!!! How it shows 8.35 in water that is about 7.65, while it also shows 8.15 in water that I KNOW has a PH of 8.0ish is beyond me. The meter also was accurate in calibration solution.
For now....I will not be using this PH meter until I get this figured out.
Patrick B and Oldguy70....thank you for the help.
