Hello. I have been reading and researching for months but the handoff of chemical balancing from our PB was less formal and obvious than I thought it would be so I have no chemicals on hand. We have a Pebble Sheen finish and I did a quick PH test last night and I think we are nearing 8.0. Our pump schedule was set by our PB and the spa overflow and the bubbler are running about 12 hours a day. I don't have pool school until Tuesday so I have no idea how to adjust those settings. I won't be home without extreme effort prior to the pump shutting off tonight. Am I okay to grab muriatic acid tomorrow morning or should I be making that extreme effort to get some in there tonight before the pump shuts off? Thank you!!

No rush.
Be sure to not follow the chemical suggestions by the PB.

Do you have automation? Please add to the signature. If you do, You should look into using Spillover and reducing the spa overflow time dramatically.

We will have automation and I will definitely update my signature after pool school next week and my one million questions get answered :p I know the water movement increases the PH so I will also be reducing the overflow time as soon as I have control to do so as well.

If you're unlucky like me, your pool equipment won't be set up for spillover and you'll have to set that up yourself. It wasn't that hard, but it was annoying, and it made me realize some of the silly plumbing choices my PB made for the spa returns...

Ha, ours is running..but the entire 12 hours the pump is running. I’m going to drop to 30 minutes a few times a day and go from there.
