My 18,000 galloon pool continues to have high PH even after I add PH Minus. It was at 8.3, I added 3lbs of PH minus as suggested and it went down to a little but a day later it's back up again,. The CYA is at 28,T TA is 110 and FC is 2.5, any suggestions on how to get the PH down and stay that way? Is being on the lower range of cya causing this?

First, stop using pH minus. I add sulfates to the pool water we is corrosive to metal and concrete. Use Muriatic acid.

When TA is higher than about 80 or so, pH will tend to rise. Lower your pH in .4 increments down to 7.6. This will also lower TA a bit. Let it rise to 8.0, reduce it again to 7.6. Rinse repeat. When TA gets to about 80, don't lower pH to 7.6...it should stabilize around 7.8 - 8.0.

I would get your FC up. Always follow this...Link-->FC/CYA Levels

Always round your CYA up to the next 10. Your CYA is 30.

How are you testing and chlorinating?
