Hey, I’ve been fighting with PH being high since I built my pool 9-10 months ago. It’s a chlorine pool, I use poolmath app and strictly liquid chlorine and muriatic for the PH. I turned off all water features I can, and only have the waterfall from the hot tub I can’t do much about (one pump).

This is what I usually get, i have to add a lot of muriatic to get it down and it’s back in 3-4 days.

Any help would be appreciated. I know for the first year plaster may increase PH, but I just want to make sure i’m not doing anything wrong. I never had algae, cloudy water or anything bad.

Thanks

Looks like 7.8? If so it’s ok to stay there. Wait until it gets to 8.0-8.2 and knock it back down to 7.6-7.8

TBH, it looks like a dark red to me which I’m not clear if it’s between orange and pink or over pink. I was assuming over pink.

If red reads as 7.8, that’s where it sits even if I stop adding muriatic for weeks.

If above 7.8, there is a purple tinge.
Use one less drop of R0014 reagent. See if you get a better match.

What is the FC ppm?

With a TA of 60, your pH should not rise very much above 7.8-8
