Iinstalled a new above ground pool this spring, it is a 33 foot round 52" deep salt water pool. I have everything under control but the PH, I will add the recommended PH down and for a few hours it will be in the range i would like. But, by morning like this morning its back up to 8.0. I have the Water Guru in the pool for daily readings and decided that i should not trust it. So i tested with my Lamotte Digital kit and my Taylor drop kit with new reagents this year and the Pool Guru is spot on. Is it time to use muratic acid and really drop the PH???

Ph down (dry acid) contains sulfates which are not good for your swg.
Muriatic Acid is the way to go.
Use PoolMath for calculating amounts.
What is your TA? The higher the ta the faster the ph rises.
Stick with the Taylor kit for the ta testing

My TA is between 180 to 200 depending on if I have added ph down or not. It is a 25700 gallon pool

With a TA that high, it is no wonder that your pH keeps rising like it is. Lower pH to 7.0-7.2 with muriatic acid, then aerate to increase the pH back up. This will help lower the TA. It will take multiple times doing this as your TA should be more like 60-80 (a third of your current amount). Get that TA down and your pH won't drift up nearly as fast.
