Hi all, I'm in Southern Arizona. I cannot keep my pH down. The water is extremely hard here and I think *maybe that has something to do with it. I test pH weekly and it's always 8.5. I'm spending a small fortune in muriatic acid to keep trying to bring the pH down to the TFP recommendation. Any suggestions on how to keep the pH in the recommended range? Or should I give up. Thanks all. Oh, I did drain and refill the pool after 5 years and I still have the same exact problem.
-Cheers

In addition to above advice, try posting a picture of the pH test color and let’s double check. Lots of people think it’s higher than it really is. It’s sometimes a hard test.
