Going on vacation tomorrow for 6 days. pH is currently sitting at 7.6 Should I bump it down today or tomorrow? So far, I have not had any issues with pH rising dramatically (highest it has got is 7.8 and it level backed down by itself due to rain, etc.) so I have yet to add muriatic acid in the 3 months I have been keeping up with it.

With your pH pretty stable, I wouldn’t worry about lowering it before your trip. It’s not a problem even if it does get a little high for a few days while you’re gone.
Thanks. I will just check it once more tomorrow and leave as is. I always saw people adjusting the pH down but I guess that only applies if the pH has a habit of increasing a good bit

I see people dumping in gallons of shock, flocc or some other crock, each and every day. Doing what everybody else does is what brought them to us. You need what your pool needs, no more, no less.
A 60 TA and accepting that any 7 Ph is equally OK. Chasing a 'perfect' TA or Ph is one of the pool store's favorite, and profitable roller coasters.
Came back last night after being gone 6 nights. Didn’t do anything or adjust anything besides throwing a leaf net over the pool so the skimmer wouldn’t get filled up.
tested this morning and pH didn’t move at all and was still at 7.6. FC was only 1.5ppm higher than when I left and CC was 0. I’m going to call this beginner’s luck.
