pH and TA question

What is are the rest of the levels (CH, Salt, water temperature, etc.)?

With a SWG, I would focus on CSI.

Also, fill water may be a factor as well so testing that for at least PH, TA & CH can be important.

sorry for the delay. my swg went offline and defaulted to 30% so the fc went up a little, which im fine with
fc=12, cc=0,ph=8,TA=50, cya=50,ch=250, csi=0, salt cell is reading 3100, my test kit says 2300? its a new pool so im not sure about the salt discrepency. also water temp is 87 now, will be mid 90's by afternoon here is southern alabama. i have a feeling the temp and salt readings i get on my iaqaulink app are a little off, water is warm but somtimes the temp reads well over 100, but doesnt feel that hot. will prob get temp probe to put in the pool anyway. added 3/4 cup 31% MA yesterday per pool math. brought the ph down a little. wondering if the temp and or fc may effect the ph reading?? source is hose and havent tested that ph yet, if anything i drain more than i fill, lots of rain. thx for the help

First - let's clarify which exact test kit you have.
  • Post a picture of your test kit.
  • Your signature states you have a TF-100 test kit.
  • In post #4 you said you have a Taylor test kit.
  • In post #7 you said "... test kit says 2300?".
When posting test results, please post them vertically for easier reading and review.

FC
CC
pH
TA
CH
CYA
Salt
Water temperature

The pH reading is invalid with FC > 10.

to clarify: Tf-100 test kit ( i made an error typing taylor)
and i said the salt test read 2300, where as my app reads 3100
Ph has been high even with FC below 10

For the TA test, are you continuing to add drops until there's no additional color change?

As your TA approaches 50, be judicious with your MA additions (add enough MA to get your pH into the high 7s only). TA of 50 is perfectly fine.
