petaluma pool fence

Decided to use steel rems from our laser cutter to make a fence along the road by the pool. The sheets are 48" x 120", 3/8" thk steel, pretty heavy. I set 6 x 6 press treated posts 3' deep in concrete, then lag bolted the panels to them. I started saving these about 2 years back so it nice to finally get some where.

Nice! 3' deep huh? Ugh. That's some work. Looks very nice, and should hold-up for many, many years.

At least the soil is sandy although I hit two roots that were about 3" dia. I wanted the posts 7' tall so that's why I went the full 3' deep so I didn't need to cut them. I had thought I would get a little more "privacy" but the pattern is pretty open. I'm really happy overall and its definitely one of a kind. I've got three more panels to install this weekend, then the post caps which are steel also.
