Pentaire MasterTemp 125 making a whistling sound

Hello all,

I recently bought a home which came with a great pool and a Pentaire MasterTemp 125 pool heater. It is connected to natural gas line. I am able to start it without issue and after about 15 mins, it will begin to whistle. It does not prompt any error codes and seems to be still heating the water. (Knock on ) The sound appears to be coming from the vent side. I have tried taking off the side plate to allow more air (as someone was able to successfully do in another thread). It is clean and I ensured no debris was inside.
I am at a loss and any assistance is greatly appreciated. I do

Whistles are often cause by the gas line.

Post pics of your heater, especially the gas connection area.

What is the CFM of your gas meter? Post pics of the data plates on your gas meter.

What worked for me was partially closing the gas valve. Eventually got the bigger orifice and was able to fully open gas valve.
