Some years back, it was noted that the chlorinator made by Pentair had change their orientation on the I C 40. I just changed one for a customer this year and was putting it in backwards according to the display but found out soon after that according to the flow it was in 180° wrong. I also read that the orientation was changed because of the inlet coming in on the bottom so that the reading would be right. They should at least put a little note in with the box. Two simple?

I don't understand the point of your thread. :scratch:

Water flow through a vertically mounted cell must be up from the bottom so that the flow switch can't "fall" shut on it own when the pump is off.

It does not really matter which way you install the cell as long as you rotate the flow switch to operate correctly.
