Hi everyone, we have a new Intellicenter setup with a 3hp pentair VS pump.

When I vacuum and hook the hose up to the skimmer, I bump up the gpm in the phone app to get more suction. When I save the new gpm setting, there's a few sec delay but the pump will turn off. Simple fix to push the On slider and its back on.

Same thing happens when raising and lowering the speed.

I don't think so, but is this expected behavior?

Is there a better way to do what I'm doing? Although hopefully this won't be necessary for much longer when those dolphin cleaners at Marina get in stock

Heck,

I am not quite sure why the pump shuts off, but I really don't understand what you are doing.

Instead of adjusting the speed on the fly, why do you not have your speeds preset for your needs? Then just turn that speed on when needed.

Here is an example from my EasyTouch, but the same basics apply to your IntelliCenter. You can see where the speeds are based upon what circuit is on. You can simply use a Feature Circuit and call it "VAC" or whatever you want. Then turning on the "Vac" circuit, will increase the pump's speed.

As a side note... I never recommend using GPM.

Thanks,

Jim R.

The local pentair rep help my pool company set up everything in the Intellicenter. I don't know why they set it up in gpm. Of course, I can see the associated rpm and watts so I guess it's all the same.

I'll have to read up on setting up different circuits.

The fix is post 16.

thanks for finding that. Going to read thru it and see if that if applies to me. Thankfully, this isn't a huge issue but I am curious.
