Pentair Variable Speed Pump

The schedules that were originally set on my Pentair variable speed pump aren’t working properly and now the pump is running at full speed for 12 hours a day. My pool company doesn’t have staff available to address the issue for 2 weeks despite the fact that this problem started once they left after their most recent service. I’m concerned about wear on the pump and want to delete the 2 schedules that the pool company set but I’m not sure what happens to the pump if I do that. Will the pump then run on its own and adjust speeds accordingly??

Do you have ScreenLogic??

If so, show me your schedules and more importantly, show me your pump speeds..

Like this ..

It is pretty simple to just reduce the pump speeds.

Edit.... Go out and look and make sure they did not leave the system in the Service Mode... The little LCD on the main panel should say AUTO and Pool.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I don’t have screenlogic to my knowledge, although I will inquire of the pool company. I also checked to ensure it’s running in auto as opposed to service. I don’t see pump speeds in the service menu; is that under a different category on the easytouch? Also, the tech made the screen on the pump inactive so I can’t adjust on the pump itself and have to go through the panel. Is there a way to change that?

Not,

Tell me what the pump's display shows?? Does it show "Display not Active"... If so, this means the EasyTouch is controlling the pump and that is a good thing.

I assume you are using a Pentair Remote with a little LCD.. If so, what does the display on the remote show?? It should be something like this..

Auto
Pool
Air
Date.

If that is true, then go into the Menu option.. (Not sure how on your system..)

Something like this..

Menu (Maybe twice) then Settings, then IntelliFlo, (Then pump #1, if you have that option) .. You should see something this.

Pump Type = VS
Speeds
Priming
Status

Scroll down to Speeds and Select it.. You should see something like this..

Pump #1
RPM = 1500
Circuit
[Pool]

The above tells the pump to run at 1500 RPM when in the Pool mode.. What does yours say??

Thanks,

Jim R.
