Pentair Transformers and Votage

In regards to 100W and 300W Pentair Transformers - they have a 12 13 and 14V configuration.
Can I hook my intellibrite 5G's up the 14V wiring to get a "brighter" light in my pool.
Same questions for the landscape lighting (Pentair landscape uplighting).

why else would the option of Voltage be there?

Any concern of degradation of light life cycle?

Option of voltage is there to offset voltage loss from long wires. You want 12V at the lights.

Giving the light more voltage will not make it brighter. It will probably lead to early failure due to components overheating due to the higher voltage.

Ok, so if I have voltage drop on the landscape lights, then i could up the voltage on transformer....

If your wire gives you a voltage drop you use a higher tap to get 12V at the light fixture.
