Good evening everyone! I have issuing keeping the pool clean. We are only 1 year in now and can say that i am still a rookie when it comes to pools. I am wondering why would i need my VS pump need to be on a breaker timer when it has an electric timer that i can set on the unit. Also when i do have the unit hooked up on the breaker timer and it turns it off, does it kill my settings i had set up on the VS pump? Any help would be great as we started clean water but as the weather heats up in Kansas we have only got cloudy and think its because i am not running the pumps long enough(along with having no stabilizer in the pool to start this year). THANKS!

The Superflo VS should have power 24/7 . Let the pump do the controlling ......not the old timer .
I had a standard Intermatic rotary pool pump timer controlling my old single speed pool pump before I installed a Superflo VS . All I did was pull all the controller tabs/pins and let the timer just run 24/7 . Now the Superflo VS controls everything.

The Superflo will not loose settings if the power is cut off , but every time power is turned back on, it will go through the priming sequence again. No need for that , if its running on the pump schedule, and your plumbing has no drain back (no air in the pump basket) .

Just use your old mechanical timer turned on 24/7 and let the VS pump control the scheduling .
