Hi - we just had a Pentair Superflo VST pump installed after our single speed pump seized. We have an inground pool, 10600 gallons, and a CS30 Chlorsync salt system. We have a heater, but only turn it on when we use the spa, which is rare. The default settings on the pump are Speed 1 for 2 hours at 3000 RPM, Speed 2 for 10 hours at 1400 RPM, and speed 3 for 2 hours at 2200 RPM. If I am understanding everything correctly, our salt system needs a minimum flow rate of 20 gpm to operate correctly. According to the Performance Curves of my new pump, the lowest default speed of 1400RMP is giving us a flow rate of almost 40gpm. If I am reading the correctly, and I am 100% stupid when it comes to this stuff, why can't I just run it at the 1400RPM for the entire 10 - 12 hours instead of having these different speeds and times? Thank you for your assistance!
