Hi all,
I had to disassemble the pump to clean up the impeller, it was pretty clogged up.
This pump have only 3 years of usage, but when I remove the sealplate, I noticed the motor shat was significantly rusted at the seal location.
I discovered that there was a small leak going on beside the seaplate originating from it.
Obviously the seal set needs to be replaced.
But I'm just concerned that the new seal will be degraded quickly by the shaft's roughness.
--> Any ideas/thoughts on how to address this?
Many thanks for your help!
Also as a side observation, the sealplate gasket was teared off, I wonder how this could even had happened, since this was the first time this was disassembled?
