Hi guys,
I have a 5yr old pentair superflo 342001 that the drive failed the 1st time after 4yrs amd the replacement failed 1.5 years after.
A replacement drive is over $600 amd I am thinking about going back to a regular non variable speed pump, this is way to expansive to have to throw another $600 every few years, my original pump lasted over 12yrs and I only replaced it because I upgraded, it still worked when removed.
The drive only had a 1 year warranty so I am SOL in that aspect

Help me pick out a reliable non vsp pump so I am not having to do this again so soon.

I have 120v line running a 18k gallon pool, pump sits in an enclosed well ventilated room, I am in Vegas and last year was the hottest summer in Vegas history, maybe the heat was a factor in it failing, idk but I'm done with technology, I don't see the benefit energy wise, to me it's a wash if I'm counting repairs.
