Pentair ScreenLogic Alternative app?

Hello everyone,

In light of Pentair's recent iOS ScreenLogic update which broke local wifi connectivity to access pool equipment, I'm looking for recommendations on another iOS app that we can use to access/control our pool equipment. Currently, I'm unable to use ScreenLogic on my iPhone since it to the latest iOS app. My wife's phone I have set to temporarily not update although I don't want to keep that as a permanent solution. I do have access to the pool equipment using Pentair's ancient Windows application although using the iPhone would be preferred and much more convenient.

We are running the following:

• Controller: IntelliTouch i5
• Controller firmware: 1.180
• Protocol Adapter: POOL: 5.2 Build 738.0 Rel

I'm not sure if I have the latest firmware or how to update it. It looks like some panels have a USB port, but ours does not. Not sure if a firmware update would even matter at this point as the latest SceenLogic version appears broken for everyone trying a local connection. I attached a photo of the panel and what Pentair's site is currently displaying as available firmware (if that is applicable).

In any case, if there are recommendations for another iOS app that would allow control of our equipment (similar to what ScreenLogic does), I'd greatly appreciate any advice.

There is no alternative app to Pentair.

The only alternative is nodejs-poolController which is a lot more then an app...

Many here may be familiar with the amazing project of @tagyoureit for controlling the Pentair Intelli-line of products. It takes the rs485 serial information and allows it to be digested in various ways. Not being very technical, I've struggled a bit with it on my Intelliflo, so I was hoping...

Thanks Allen - I'm not familiar with nodesjs - is it fair to say its a Java based interface/app to access the controller?

I might just stick with the Windows app for the time being since it does work (although the graphics and responsiveness remind me of Windows 95).

I’ve got the same problem. Crazy!

Fortunately I have Control4 home automation and can still control my pools via Control4

Just FYI - looks like the recent iOS ScreenLogic update to v7.7 made the app functional again for local connections.

Home Assistant has a Pentair integration that works very well for me. With it, you can automate / schedule routines that work with other things and also allows you to get around the scheduling limitations of Easy Touches.

Thanks - interestingly, 7.7 is also not working for me. In fairness, I have only tried it on my iPad (not my iPhone) and I have not tried rebooting my system or anything else since downloading 7.7. I will play around a bit tomorrow.

Mine is functioning again, as well.

Thanks guys, I did a system reboot this morning and now 7.7 is also working for me. Very relieved!
