Ok first of all I have seen and read previous threads on this very same subject. Point is I never really found a bottom line you can or cannot fix a pin hole leak. Mine is leaking right at the top of the filter on the seam where the filter is bonded together. This filter is approx 7 years old. Some said poxy, plastic welds and only from the inside work others say DONT TRY TO REPAIR ITS DANGEROUS . I always go with safety first but also I consider how much money this will cost to replace and thats approx $800.00. So pool experts out there should I just bite the bullet and replace it?

Is it leaking form the filter body or the pipe, as your photo seems to show the pipe.

But, in answer to your question - there are no safe repairs to a pressure vessel that we are either going ot advocate or allow to be discussed.

How much water is leaking? My sand filter almost always had a little water weaping from the top gasket, but it was never so much water that I didn't just ignore it.

Welcome to TFP

If you can see the water exiting from the seam on the tan filter tank, it's time to get a new filter tank. Even if it's just a drip, it will get worse - and you stand a chance that the tank will rupture.
