I have an 8 year old Pentair Superflo 2HP pump (model SF-N1-2A) that recently has a slow leak. I can see no wet traces on the pump/motor itself, but there's a small wet area accumulating on the platform just beneath the pump. Probably only a few drops per minute I'd guess. Then when I start the pump, I also see a small wet area more under the motor area as well.
Not sure why this pattern would exist but I suspect this is just a seal between the motor & pump.
I'm a handy guy so is this a DIY situation (like this one at Amazon.com )? Or do I need to take it to my pool store to fix?
