I found a few old threads, but the system suggested I create a new topic so it'll be seen.
I'm a new pool owner, it's been installed less than a year now. The installer included a Pentair 920 ("included", sure, I paid for it). Of course, he never discussed anything about possible upgrades, etc. I would have preferred something with remote control capability, which I guess is the 930W. Anyway, sitting back thinking about it, the controller has bluetooth, but when I try to sync the Pentair app to it, it says that my robot isn't bluetooth capable. This sounds like marketing BS. The robot sits in water and likely can't receive a bluetooth or wifi signal. I suspect the bluetooth and/or wifi magic is all handled by the controller, and if I could get the controller to "think' that this is a 930W (or some other model that's "capable"), it would proabably control it just fine (within the bounds of features common between both models).
Has anyone done any digging on this? Does anyone know something more, or maybe know that I'm either on the right track, or way off base?
Thanks for any help.
