Heater wouldn't kick on last night. The blower works, but the heater wouldn't kick off. I opened it up to find a family of mice that I nearly sucked out with the shop vac when I thought I was just cleaning up their mess.
This morning, after thorough investigation and through the guidance on this board, noted two wiring issues (see photos). I have not found any nests anywhere nor in the white "thing" or the any other crevices. There was no other gnawed wires nor parts.
I called my service guy and his response was to just replace the system (this was prior to my photos)...uhh, it's only three years old.
I will get the screens y'all recommended to keep the 
out moving forward!
I am handy, though not super handy. I welcome your thoughts.
