Pentair Master Temp 400

The way that the valves are set in the picture, the water is being pulled from the pool and returned to the pool and spa.

You have to adjust the suction valve to pull only from the spa and return only to the pool.

The valve labeled #5 is a check valve. The valve before it is the return valve. You have to turn the return valve 90 degrees clockwise to shut off the return to the pool.

Valve number 2 is the suction valve. It's pulling only from the pool. Rotate it 180 degrees clockwise to shut off the pool suction.

Review the jandy valve video that I posted so that you are clear on how the valves operate.

" The valve before it is the return valve" is this valve 6?

The valve with the clear top #5 is a check valve. The return valve is 6" before the check valve.

Maybe the #5 was meant to go to the return valve but it seems closer to the check valve.

In any case, the 3-way valve is the return valve.

Ok thanks - I'm going to try this again.

Just so I'm certain...when I move the valves, I should have no overflow from the spa into the pool, correct?

Correct, if the valves are set correctly, you should not have any spillover.

Thank you BOTH for your help -

What happened was that when we shut the pump off to make the valve change - the pump kept shutting off from low suction (that's why I thought the correct way was incorrect)

I have a Stingl box - one that was re configured she's up and running fine

thank you for all your help
